The best Italian sub we’ve ever had!! The apple strudel was amazing, the steak & cheese melts in your mouth, and the fries are crispy! We are in town for one week and this is the second time we’ve been here!

A true gem of DC, Loeb's New York Deli personifies a landmark institution. I have been a faithful customer of theirs for 15 years and am among the first patrons to dine at their current location at 1712 Eye St. Since then, after countless sandwiches, I have come to know Marlene and Steve, as well as the late David (may he rest in peace). Nowhere in DC is there such an authentic and true taste of a Deli. Their Rubens are generous and cascade with corned beef. The Mazo Ball Soup is soothing and savory, and don't forget about the custom potato chips, made in house. These folks know how to run a great and eager business, and care deeply about it. Give it a try, and see for yourself what decades of success tastes like!

Great food!! Everything looked so fresh and clean. The sandwiches are made fresh after you order and there are so many to choose from! We ordered the steak and cheese and the pastrami on rye. We also picked up an apple strudel. All were excellent! There is plenty of inside and outside seating and the woman at the register was very efficient, helpful and kind. She even asked us if we wanted an end or center piece for the apple strudel. The entire place was very clean. Even the tables outside. Overall a solid choice for fresh prepared sandwiches! Quick and reasonably priced. The salads looked super yummie too! Next time.

Looking for a wonderful deli in downtown DC? A family owned restaurant for 65 years, they must be doing something right. Try their specialty sandwiches, my fav is Walter’s Favorite, a pastrami on pumpernickel with Cole slaw and secret sauce.

As a kvetchy New Yorker that found themselves suddenly transplanted to the DMZ, I have been rather harsh in my reviews of so called NY Style delis. This changes today with the discovery of Loeb’s NY Deli. This small unassuming place really hit the spot for me. It has a simple old school charm that caught my attention as soon as I got to the counter. I wasn’t expecting much, since I have had zero luck in this town, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwich I had. It was fresh and hearty. Everything about it screamed OH MY GAWD! The bread, cheese, and freshly sliced meat were all top notch! A side of homemade chips and a cream soda really made this one of the best lunches I have had in DC. Their history (written all over their walls was quite interesting as well!) I look forward to coming here often!

Great little gem with a variety of items! We ordered everything from the pastrami, corned beef and a hamburger! The bread was fresh, the meat had so much flavor but don’t skip on the desserts! Black and white cookie was yummy! Customer service was on point!
